No. 6: G2 Inc.( Handout photo / December 1, 2012 )
Tuesday nights at G2 are Tech Tuesdays --opportunities for G2's staff to exchange ideas with others in their field over a few beers. This kind of opportunity to network with others in the Department of Defense and intelligence community is par for the course at this custom software development and consulting firm dedicated to protecting the United States' "electronic borders." G2 staffers also can apply for grants to support work on problems they find interesting. The $22 million company, based in Annapolis Junction, has 97 employees and plans to hire 35 more "curious and creative" employees in the next year.
