Sears Hearing Aid Center
May is Better Speech and Hearing Month, and Sears Hearing Aid Center at Valley Mall in Halfway is striving to educate the public about hearing loss.
Each year, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association designates May as Better Hearing and Speech Month in an effort to raise awareness about communications disorders, including hearing loss. Miracle-Ear supports the campaign because it believes that educating the public about the causes and signs of, and treatments for, hearing loss is the key to improving the quality of life for the 31 million Americans who are dealing with hearing loss.
Douglas Shepard, owner of Sears Hearing Aid Center in Hagerstown, said a free hearing test is offered to everyone who walks into the store.
