If you've got some electronics that are long past their prime, consider ecycling them at Best Buy through the rest of September to earn up to 300 Best Buy Reward Points.
The company will offer 100 points per item for up to three items.
Ordinarily, people earn 1 point for every $1 they spend in the store. For every 250 points, Best Buy will give people a $5 certificate that you can spend in store or online.
I was surprised to discover that among the items BB will accept for ecycling are tube TVs that are smaller than 32 inches, although you have to pay $10 to leave them. But then Best Buy will give you a $10 gift card. Other items include keyboards and controllers, computers and iPods and other MP3 players.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
