Microsoft store opening Saturday in Towson Town Center

Microsoft Corporation

Maryland will get its second Microsoft store on Saturday with an opening at Towson Town Center, the technology giant said Monday.

Microsoft opened its first permanent retail outlet in the state  at The Mall in Columbia earlier this month, when about 100 customers lined up outside the open air kiosk-style store.

The Towson store will open at 10 a.m. in the mall's level two center court, with a one-day promotion  on  Dell tablets. Dell's Venue Pro 64GB will be available, one per customer, for $129 while supplies last.

Microsoft stores carry Windows PCs, tablets, Windows phones, Xbox One and other products.

The company opened a temporary holiday store in the Columbia mall in 2012 and has been expanding its retail presence. It now runs 93 stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
