Discount retailer Marshalls will open its new store at the Inner Harbor next Thursday with a day of giveaways and gift card prizes.
The retailer, which sells brand-name apparel at a discount, has taken over the second floor of Lockwood Place on East Pratt Street, the former Filene’s Basement spot.
Store officials promise some 10,000 new items will arrive in the store each week, purchased from more than 15,000 vendors in more than 60 countries.
The new store will employ 60 full- and part-time people.
A grand opening is slated for March 21 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Regular store hours will run from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
