Lovesac modular furniture store opens in Towson

Lovesac, a modular furniture store, has opened a store at Towson Town Center.

It's the 54th store for the chain, which has been growing this year.

The high-end home furnishings retailer has had its eye on the Towson market for a while, said CEO and President Nancy Shalek.

The company specializes in a patented modular furniture system called Sactionals. With just two pieces, customers can arrange the furniture to fit any indoor or outdoor space. They also can change covers. Besides sofas, loveseats, armchairs and other seating, the retailer sells bedding, pillows and other home decor accessories.

"We've created a revolutionary product that's truly unique and is changing the way customers think about sectional furniture," Shawn D. Nelson, Lovesac's founder and chairman said in the company's announcement. "We give them a blank canvas that they can customize and personalize to fit their home and lifestyle."

Lovesac was recently named the fastest growing furniture company in the U.S. by Furniture Today magazine.
