J. Crew and Anthropologie will open their planned Harbor East stores next week, the developer of the waterfront neighborhood said Wednesday.
J. Crew will open next Wednesday at the base of the Legg Mason Tower on International Drive, followed by Anthropologie on Friday at the base of the Four Seasons Hotel, also on International Drive.
The retailers had announced the new store locations, the first in Baltimore city, in April. Also coming soon to the Harbor East retail scene -- MAC Cosmetics, with an opening date to be announced, and Lululemon Athletica, expected to open in the next couple of months, Harbor East Management Group said.
The new national retailers will join Harbor East's mix of national, regional and local brands, such as White House/Black Market, South Moon Under, City Sports, Amaryllis Handcrafted Jewelry and Handbags in the City.
In its 7,200 square feet, J. Crew promises "an edited collection" of its women's and men's designs, including the classics along with Italian cashmere, weekend wear, suits, outerwear, handbags, belts, jewelry and Italian-made shoes. For the July 25 opening, the retailer plans to hand out "special gifts" to shoppers who spend $250 or more, while supplies last. J. Crew operates 286 stores, 97 outlets and a catalog business.
Anthropologie, a women's apparel retailer that describes its products as "an expression of a customer's appreciation for artfulness and good design," will open in more than 6,000 square feet and sell clothing, accessories, shoes, home furnishings and gifts.
Both are hiring.
