Filing for Chapter 11 under the federal bankruptcy will cost debtors more money beginning November 21.

Chapter 11, which allows one to reorganize finances while keeping creditors at bay, is usually used by businesses, although some individuals use it.

The filing fee is going from $1,000 to $1,167. Add in another $46 administrative fee, and a debtor will pay a total of $1,213 to file a Chapter 11 case.

So get your paperwork in by Nov. 20th.
