Restaurant chain Eggspectation plans to open early next year at Metro Centre at Owings Mills, the transit-oriented project at the Owings Mills Metro Station.
The Montreal-based restaurant, which offers nearly 60 different breakfast entrees along with lunch and dinner, will join Times Square Kitchen, Fractured Prune and Subway. It has signed a lease with developer Owings Mills Transit LLC for 5,582 square feet.
Additional boutiques, shops, restaurants and service-related stores are still negotiating leases at the project, managed by David S. Brown Enterprises, Ltd.
Eggspectatoin runs or franchises 20 locations, including five in the Baltimore-Washington region, with one in Ellicott City, one in Silver Spring and three in Northern Virginia.
The breakfast menu, available all day, includes lobster eggs Benedict, veggie omelets, strawberry pancakes, brioche French toast, grilled breakfast burritos, smoothies and specialty coffees.
Metro Centre now has two five-story buildings with shops and apartments, a Baltimore County Public Library branch and a satellite location of the Community College of Baltimore. It could eventually have 1.2 million square feet of offices, 1,700 apartments and additional shops, school facilities and a hotel.
