Children's apparel retailer Carter's is opening this summer at Yorkridge Shopping Center in Timonium, joining anchors Kohl's, Michaels and MOM's Organic Market.
The Atlanta-based chain, owner of the Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh brands, is the largest branded seller in the U.S. of clothing for babies and young children.
The retailer signed a lease with Schwaber Holdings LLC for 4,320 square feet in the center at York and Ridgely roads, the landlord announced. The location will be among Carter's 700 company-run stores in the U.S., Canada and Japan.
Carter's chose the shopping center because of its high visibility and strong customer and business demographics -- close to more than 73,000 households with an average income of $100,964 -- Matt Lukas, Carter's senior director of real estate, said in the announcement. The landlord expects Carter's to be a big draw for the center.
Schwaber has been renovating and bringing in new tenants, including MOM's, Towson Hot Bagels, Massage Envy and Sushi Hana.
