The best and worst deals in June

This is not the month to buy a new grill, according to a list of the best and worst things to buy in June. But, really, who’s thinking outdoor barbecue in January?

Tips from dealnews.com on what to purchase and what to avoid shopping for in June suggest waiting for the July 4th promotions for that particular item.

"You could save as much as $200 or more on a mid- to high-end grill if you wait until July," dealnews says.

It's also a bad month to get the best deals on Apple products, beef, with retail prices headed for record highs, and tools – even as Father's Day approaches, the list says.

But who knew June was the time to buy lingerie, start back to school shopping and get last-minute deals on Caribbean vacations?

Check here for the dealnews June buying guide.
