Airmall USA, which manages retail and restaurants at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, announced Monday it has changed its name to Fraport USA, reflecting its German parent company, Fraport Group.
The 25-year-old firm — which also manages two terminals of Boston Logan International Airport, as well as those at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport — has a contract with BWI through 2022.
JetBlue recently selected Fraport USA to develop the retail program in the airline’s terminal at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Globally, Fraport serves more than 320 million passengers in 29 airports across 10 countries, the company said.
“As the North American subsidiary of one of the largest airport operators worldwide, Fraport USA is primed to take the passenger experience to the next level with best-in-class airport development, superior services and operational excellence,” Ben Zandi, president and CEO, said in a statement. “Our new name reflects the full scope and depth of our services and expertise as a global airport company.”
