Towson business school to develop financial lab

Towson University's College of Business and Economics will build a new financial laboratory that will act as a trading floor thanks in part to a $200,000 grant from the T. Rowe Price Foundation, the charitable arm of the Baltimore money manager.

The T. Rowe Price Finance Laboratory will allow students to value and price securities and investments in a simulated trading environment, providing hands-on experience and real-life training, according to the college.

The lab will be housed on the first floor of Stephens Hall. Construction will begin in spring 2012 and be completed by the fall semester.
