Mind Over Machines acquires The Seva Group

Mind Over Machines Inc., an Owings Mills-based consulting and information technology firm, announced Thursday it has acquired the assets of technology firm The Seva Group, making the combined company one of the largest IT consulting firms in the mid-Atlantic.

Financial terms of the purchase agreement, finalized on Wednesday, were not disclosed.

Tom Loveland will remain CEO of Mind Over Machines, which has more than 50 employees, while Chris Long, former president of The Seva Group, will become executive vice president and a shareholder. Other executives of both firms are to retain their positions. Each firm has served commercial and government clients.

Mind Over Machines, founded more than 20 years ago, has $10 million in annual sales and clients such as Broadridge Financial Services, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health & Human Services. The Seva Group, a 20-employee firm with annual sales of $5 million, has offices in Baltimore and Tysons Corner, with clients in financial services, publishing, health care, life sciences and nonprofits.
