Under Armour signs NBA rookie Kemba Walker

Baltimore sports apparel company Under Armour said this morning it has signed an endorsement deal with NBA rookie Kemba Walker.

Walker will wear Under Armour footwear while training and on-court during games. He will also be featured in marketing campaigns for the company's basketball line.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The former University of Connecticut player will play for the Charlotte Bobcats next season. Walker led the University of Connecticut to the 2011 NCAA National Championship and 2011 Big East Tournament Championship.

Other athletes who have recently signed with Under Armour are NBA player Brandon Jennings and NFL players Tom Brady, Miles Austin and Anquan Boldin.

Cam Newton, last year's Heisman Trophy winner and quarterback when the Auburn Tigers became the BCS National Championship team this year, also recently signed a deal with Under Armour.
