The Harford County Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that Pamela J. Klahr has been named president and CEO.
Klahr, who starts Sept. 9., had been president and CEO of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.
"Pam Klahr's extensive chamber experience will move the Harford County Chamber of Commerce forward and continue its position as one of the strongest business organizations in Maryland," said Brenda Morrison, chair of the chamber's board, in statement. "The chamber's board was very impressed with the relationships she built with the military community at Fort Meade, and we are confident that she will repeat that success in Harford County."
Harford is home to the Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground.
"The business climate is vibrant, and the potential for growth is a sure thing," Klahr said on Harford County.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
