Cummins-Wagner buys New York firm

A Maryland-based distributor of industrial process and HVAC equipment said Friday it has acquired a New York company focused on distributing equipment related to water systems.

Cummins-Wagner Co., Inc., which will add J.L. Moore, Inc. to its Siewert Equipment division, said the deal will help the firm expand in the water and wasterwater market. Terms were not disclosed.

"The synergies between our companies will bring a complete systems/process approach to our customer base, and provide a more distinct product and service offering," Cummins-Wagner President Doug Ardinger said in a statement.

Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Annapolis Junction, Cummins-Wagner has offices in Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York and Florida. It acquired a Florida-based good equipment and engineering company in 2010.
