Developer David Cordish said he has shot baskets with Hall of Famer Julius Erving, pop star Justin Timberlake and other celebrities.
Last weekend, the Maryland Live casino owner added Gov. Larry Hogan to the list and said Wednesday: "Trust me, he's got game."
Cordish played one-on-one with Hogan on a hoop set up for a promotion at the casino.
No score was disclosed. In a video Cordish posted on Twitter, Hogan dribbles the ball through his legs before banking in a shot. "Look at that! Oh my goodness," Cordish replies.
Cordish, a former varsity lacrosse player and 1960 Johns Hopkins graduate, is seen making a series of shots from around the foul line and arc.
"Yes, he went between his legs on dribble and he has a perfect shooting motion. Good athlete and vigorous competitor," Cordish said of the governor in an email. "Trust me, he's got game."
Cordish tweeted a video along with the comment: "Warming up for #MarchMadness with Governor @LarryHogan."
"The governor is a lifelong basketball fan," Hogan spokeswoman Amelia Chasse said. "He may have picked up some of those moves from his days attending DeMatha. Even though he went to Florida State, he's a longtime Terps basketball fan."
In October, Hogan completed chemotherapy treatment for cancer, which had been in remission since the previous year.
