Baltimore pet supply company acquires new headquarters

Caitec Corp., a Baltimore pet supply company, has acquired a new headquarters in Baltimore County.

Caitec plans to relocate its headquarters to the 110,000-square-foot industrial building at 4601 Hollins Ferry Road in Haletorpe by the end of September.

Caitec President Terry Gao said the company has outgrown its current headquarters in Baltimore’s Wilhelm Park neighborhood, near Saint Agnes Hospital.

“This new facility provides us with the space we need to more efficiently fulfill customer orders, as well as expansion opportunities as we continue to enlarge our operations,” Gao said in a statement.

Caitec specializes in manufacturing and distribution of dog toys, bird products and other pet supplies. The company also manufactures and distributes lawn and garden items.

The company was founded in 1992 and has 15 employees, 12 of whom are based at the Baltimore headquarters.

The new building will include 98,000 square feet of warehouse and industrial space for storing products shipped from overseas and light manufacturing and assembly.

The building also has 12,000 square feet of office space.
