New CEO appointed at Bay Capital Mortgage

Bay Capital Mortgage Corp. announced Tuesday that Timothy J. Gough has joined the Annapolis-based firm as its new CEO.

Gough joins Capital Bay after nine years at 1st Mariner Mortgage where he last was senior vice president/area manager. Before that the 1983 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, was with First Republic Mortgage.

Gough also served on Gov. Larry Hogan’s transition team responsible for the review of the Department of Housing and Community Development.

“With his local roots and extensive industry knowledge, we are now even further positioned to be the premier mortgage lending choice for the Mid-Atlantic region and down through the southern states,” said Leo Dunn, chairman of Bay Capital.

Bay Capital has been lending for more than 20 years and is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
