Spending on Valentine's Day flowers, candy and other gifts could hit a 10-year high of $17.6 billion, according to the latest survey from the National Retail Federation. See how that spending breaks down on gifts for spouses, friends and even pets.

Overall spending
The average consumer will spend $126.03 on Valentine's Day gifts, up 8.5% over last year. It is the highest projected spending in the 10 years the National Retail Federation has conducted the survey.
