Airlines: Flight attendants see merger obstacles

Flight attendants at United Airlines and US Airways Group Inc. said there would be "significant obstacles" to any combination of the two carriers unless labor relations are addressed first. There is an "adversarial labor environment" at both companies, making merger discussions "foolhardy," the presidents of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA union chapters at each carrier said yesterday.
