Burt Reynolds

As an athlete: Reynolds was a star halfback at Florida State, but injuries shortened his career. Still, Reynolds remains an icon at his former school. He was inducted into the FSU Hall of Fame in 1977. As an actor: Reynolds was one of the biggest stars of his generation. He appeared in the movie "Deliverance" and channeled his football prowess in the 1974 comedy "The Longest Yard". His film résumé also includes the "Smokey and the Bandit" movies and his critically acclaimed turn in "Boogie Nights".
