It's October, and you know what that usually means: prepare to be scared.

But for visitors to the "Halloween in Hershey" celebration, it's more about treats than tricks. Attractions in Hershey, Pa., are offering three fall weekends of family fun throughout the town.

"Halloween In Hershey" activities take place Oct.14-16, Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-30. Here's a peek at some of the highlights.

Hersheypark in the Dark Come in costume to enjoy the park's nearly 50 rides, including some that have been renamed to give them that creepy feeling — for example, "Ghost Runner" (Storm Runner) and "FEARenheit" (Fahrenheit).

There's also "Treatville," offering candy treats and performances by the rock 'n' roll band Screaming Mummies.

The park is open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays during the celebration. Tickets are $29.95 for regular admission (ages 9 to 54), and $20.95 for junior (ages 3 to 8) or senior (ages 55 and older) admission. Children ages 2 and younger are free.

S'mores Campfire Party Hershey's Chocolate World hosts a traditional campfire with songs and stories. Guests can create their own candy bar or dessert using Halloween-themed ingredients.

Hershey Trolley Works offers an evening tour of Hershey that includes a journey to see the lights of Hersheypark in the Dark.

Creatures of the Night Visit ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park to see the nocturnal habits of more than 200 animals. (Included with admission to Hersheypark.)

Pumpkin Glow at Hershey Gardens From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, lights illuminate 150 carved pumpkins. Children can collect candy treats along the garden paths.

Trunk or Treat The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum offers a car-themed scavenger hunt on Oct. 29. Visitors can also view a hearse on display Oct. 14-31.

Young Frankenstein, the musical, offers performances Oct. 11-12 at the Hershey Theatre. Gazillion Bubbles, a bubble magic show, is at the theatre Oct. 21- 22.
