Edsall completes Maryland's staff

New Maryland football coach Randy Edsall has completed selecting his assistants. It's a staff notable for its experience and its three holdovers from Ralph Friedgen's staff.

Three former head coaches will be on the staff -- offensive coordinator Gary Crowton (Louisiana Tech and BYU), defensive coordinator Don Brown (Massachusetts) and defensive line coach Greg Gattuso (Duquesne).

Much of the staff was already known, including Brown, offensive line coach Tom Brattan and receivers coach Lee Hull. All three were on the staff of Friedgen, who was ousted as head coach last month.

The final staff additions were Crowton, who was LSU's offensive coordinator under Les Miles; Todd Bradford, who was a Southern Mississippi assistant and will coach the inside linebackers; and John Dunn, who will coach the tight ends. Dunn was an LSU graduate offensive assistant.
