Allow me to interrupt the semi-serious football chatter to give you the ridiculous Tom Brady news story of the week. No, I'm not talking about this. It's even better. The Patriots quarterback will endorse UGG -- you know, the furry boots worn by socialites, sorority girls and soccer moms going through midlife crises.
No word yet if Brady has his own line of jeggings in the works, too. Does Under Amour make those?
To be fair, UGG has a men's line the three-time Super Bowl champ will try to breathe life into.
“We have decided that we needed to just get the word out there that it’s a brand for guys,” Deckers Outdoors CEO Angel Martinez told Jim Cramer of "Mad Money" on Monday. “[It will] give guys permission to wear UGG. And who better to give guys permission to wear UGG than … Tom Brady.”
Added Martinez, "He’s the guy every guy I know wants to be."
Obviously, Martinez doesn't know Terrell Suggs.
