Arrests in Baltimore for illegal guns often lead to dropped charges or little jail time

Juan Dixon hopes to resume career

Juan Dixon, Maryland's leading career scorer, said tonight he hopes to resume his basketball career.

Dixon said he may play for a developmental-league team in hopes of returning to the NBA. He made the statement when asked about his career by one of the moderators at an evening in Baltimore to honor Gary Williams, his former coach.

Dixon was playing in Spain when he had a positive result early this year for Nandrolone, an anabolic steroid.

Another former Terp and former NBAer, Steve Francis, said in an interview at the same ceremony that he hopes to play and pursue business interests in China.
