Retro Baltimore: 50 things we miss

Harbor East is getting a new wine bar

Elizabeth has some good news in her latest Table Talk column: A new wine bar is coming to Harbor East.

Rosina Gourmet (the upscale sandwich shop) is branching out into the wine shop business, it seems. The new member of the Rosina family is Vino Rosina, which should open at 705 Exeter St. in late February/early March.

This is great news for the neighborhood, because there aren't many decent spots to get a drink in Harbor East after 10 p.m.

According to Elizabeth's piece, the 2,200-foot spot is being designed by SMG Architects. You may remember them from such restaurants as Woodberry Kitchen. Oh yeah, baby.

But wait, there's more ...

According to the article:

"We'll have great wines by the glass, good cheese, small plates, charcuterie and Tuscan flatbreads," said Lancaster. "We'll keep a lot of the gourmet sandwiches [offered at the Rosina Gourmets], but we're reaching for some more exotic ingredients."

The emphasis will be on local producers and organic and green products.

Vino Rosina's hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, and the place will probably stay open until midnight on the weekend.
