Today's game recaps -- June 16

The Triple-A Norfolk Tides lost to the Louisville Bats, but the Double-A Bowie Baysox topped the Reading Phillies at Prince George's Stadium.

The Single-A Frederick Keys fell to the Winston-Salem Dash, and the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds dropped a one-run decision against the Lakewood BlueClaws.

Norfolk Tides (AAA)

Score: Louisville Bats 6, Norfolk Tides 4 (Box score)

Recap: In his first start for the Tides, left-hander Troy Patton (0-1) allowed more earned runs than in any of his 11 appearances for the Baysox.

The 23-year-old starting pitcher gave up five runs and seven hits in six innings. Patton surrendered three home runs and walked two hitters in the loss.

Norfolk left fielder Joey Gathright collected a pair of doubles, and catcher Steve Torrealba was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Right fielder Jeff Fiorentino added two hits and two runs scored for the Tides, and infielder Jolbert Cabrera had an RBI.Bowie Baysox (AA)

Score: Bowie Baysox 3, Reading Phillies 2 (Box score)

Recap: Starting pitcher John Mariotti (2-4) gave up two runs and seven hits in seven innings, and the Baysox held off Reading for a 3-2 win at Prince George's Stadium.

Bowie right fielder Ambiorix Concepcion hit a solo home run, and second baseman Miguel Abreu was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

First baseman Brandon Snyder was 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored for the Baysox, and third baseman Mike Costanzo added two hits.

Baysox relief pitchers Ryan Ouellette and Josh Perrault each retired all three batters they faced. Perrault picked up his 10th save of the season.

Frederick Keys (A)

Score: Winston-Salem Dash 4, Frederick Keys 1 (Box score)

Recap: Catcher Caleb Joseph was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, but the Keys suffered a 4-1 loss to Winston-Salem.

Frederick starting pitcher Sean Gleason (0-2) allowed four runs (three earned) and seven hits in seven innings. The 23-year-old right-hander struck out one batter and issued one walk.

Shortstop Pedro Florimon Jr. was 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored for the Keys, and third baseman Tyler Henson added a single.

Keys right fielder Billy Rowell was 0-for-3, and his batting average dropped to .229 in 63 games this season. The 20-year-old outfielder is hitting .114 in his past 10 games.

Delmarva Shorebirds (A)

Score: Lakewood BlueClaws 6, Delmarva Shorebirds 5 (Box score)

Recap: The Shorebirds scored five runs in the seventh inning, but that's all the offense they had in a 6-5 loss to Lakewood.

Delmarva starting pitcher Oliver Drake (2-4) allowed five runs and six hits in 3 1/3 innings. The 22-year-old right-hander collected three strikeouts and walked three batters.

Right fielder Ronnie Welty hit a two-run triple for the Shorebirds, and third baseman Tyler Kolodny added an RBI double.

Shorebirds catcher Luis Bernardo also collected an RBI double, and first baseman Elvin Polanco had an RBI and a run scored.
