Another trip to the DL?

Adam Loewen made it through his injury rehab assignment without experiencing any pain in his left arm. He proclaimed it "100 percent."

Not anymore.

Loewen left today's game in the fifth inning with discomfort in his elbow. The disabled list beckons.

Can it get any worse for this bullpen?

If the Orioles place Loewen on the DL, they could purchase left-hander Alberto Castillo's contract from Triple-A Norfolk. He's 3-1 with a 2.05 ERA in 19 games, with six walks and 26 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings. A scout from another organization was raving about him yesterday, saying he's ready to help a major league club right now and has been getting lefties and righties out. Supposedly, Castillo's breaking ball is outstanding, though I've never seen him pitch.

Just throwing a name out there.
