AL balloting

The latest results in the All-Star voting still show Brian Roberts as the only Oriole in the top five at any position. He ranks fifth among second basemen with 165,949 votes.

Josh Hamilton has vaulted from sixth to second among outfielders with 479,492 votes, trailing only Manny Ramirez (811,612). Ichiro Suzuki is third at 456,136.

The Red Sox are everywhere. Designated hitter David Ortiz has received the most AL votes with 893,915. Kevin Youkilis leads all first basemen with 662,869 votes. Dustin Pedroia is first among second basemen at 591,860. And Jason Varitek leads all catchers with 477,630 votes.

You already know who’s managing the AL.

I can't wait until Bernie Carbo pinch-hits in the eighth.
