Field trip

Galilee Lutheran Church is sponsoring a field trip to the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington with the Rev. Hank Simon on Jan. 7. Participants will see the exhibit "Manifold Greatness: The Creation and Afterlife of the King James Bible." The trip is open to the community and the exhibit is free. Participants will meet at Galilee Lutheran Church, 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena, by 9 a.m. and drive to the New Carrollton Metro Station's Orange Line stop. Information: 410-255-8236.

Bible study

Greater Crofton Reformed Orthodox Presbyterian Church holds a weekly study class of 2 Corinthians at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Cross Roads School House, 1358 Millersville Road, Millersville. New pastor

The Rev. James Bishop Sr. has been appointed to Asbury Town Neck United Methodist Church, 429 Asbury Drive in Severna Park. For the past eight years he has served as pastor of Goshen United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg. Worship services are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays. All are welcome.
