Not much of a 'Hero'

From 1965 to 1971, Bob Crane played the crafty but heroic Col. Bob Hogan, leader of a team of Allied rebels within a German POW camp on "Hogan's Heroes." In 1978, that image changed: Crane was found bludgeoned to death at his Arizona home, and worse, he was found with homemade video of his often unusual sexual exploits. Lots of homemade video. The television star's image was tarnished, but even more surprisingly, his killer was never identified. While speculation has centered on an acquaintance who sometimes joined Crane's sex games, evidence was scarce and the man was found not guilty in 1992.
