Patterson High School

East Baltimore’s Patterson High School was once the portal to assimilation for waves of Poles, Greeks and Italians. The new wave of immigrant students at the 56-year-old school are from far-flung countries such as the Central African Republic, Nepal and Tanzania. These teens speak 24 languages and make up a third of the school’s student body.
