Medical Cannabis Dispensary to Open in Germantown

Bloom Medicinals will be celebrating their grand opening this December at 11530 Middlebrook Road in Germantown. "After a lot of hard work and anticipation, we are very excited to finally open and serve the registered patients of Maryland," said Andrew Wagner, Vice President of Business Development. "We are also looking forward to welcoming the Maryland Medical Cannabis Program for our final inspection and sharing with them our vision for administering the state's cannabis program as they have intended."

As one of only a handful of medical cannabis dispensaries approved to operate in Montgomery County, Bloom Medicinals will offer a variety of products and botanical strains including plant material, cannabinoid extracts and concentrates, topicals, oils, creams and other preparations, and accessories to assist in the administration of cannabis.

"We will also be offering ongoing education and community events to explain the Maryland Medical Cannabis Program, and assist patients whose physicians have recommended medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition in registering with the Commission," said Wagner.

Patients whose physician recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition are eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission as a patient. Registration can be done online by visiting http://mmcc.maryland.gov. Qualifying medical conditions include cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain.

Bloom Medicinals is conveniently located in the Middlebrook Square shopping center at the corner of Middlebrook Road and Frederick Road in Germantown. For more information about Bloom Medicinals visit http://shopatbloom.com and sign up for the email list.
