The developers of the new $140 million, 50-acre Foundry Row shopping center in Owings Mills on Tuesday announced eight tenants for the complex.
In addition to a previously announced Wegmans grocery store, the developers said tenants will include LA Fitness, Sports Authority, DSW, Panera Bread, Ulta, Zoe’s Kitchen, Smashburger and Nalley Fresh.
Construction began this spring on the Reisterstown Road center, which is located on the site of the former Solo Cup factory. The project, expected to open in 2016, is currently 70 percent leased. Another eight stores are expected to be announced by the end of the summer.
“We promised the community we’d build a vibrant new destination and Foundry Row is shaping up to be just that,” said Brian Gibbons, chairman and CEO of Owings Mills development firm Greenberg Gibbons, which is working with Baltimore-based Vanguard on the project.
Foundry Row is expected to support nearly 3,100 jobs when complete, as well as 2,300 full and part time jobs during construction, according to the developers. It is to include 60,000 square feet of office space in addition to 365,000 square feet of retail space.
