More townhomes planned for Towson

A Virginia-based homebuilder said Friday it plans to erect 35 townhomes on land close to the Towson Town Center, with construction starting next year.

Evergreene Companies, LLC will also include green space as part of its Towson Mews development, planned for two acres bounded by East Pennsylvania, Jefferson and Virginia Avenues. The cost of the project was not disclosed.

The project add more homes to downtown Towson, where new developments have brought new density in the form of hundreds of apartments and townhomes to the area.  More than 2,600 new homes have been built or are in planning, according to Baltimore County.

"We believe that Towson will continue to become a very vibrant and successful place to live, work, shop and play." Robert Cappellini, principal and founder of The Evergreene Companies, LLC, said in a statement.  "We are thrilled about the opportunity to create Towson's next great place to live on such a rare and desirable piece of land."
