In his honor

The Rev. Marion C. Bascom, with help from Mayor Sheila Dixon (right) and councilwoman Sharon Green Middleton, tries to unveil the new name of the Liberty Heights Avenue fire station, renamed in his honor by Squad 40. The rope came loose, so the veil stayed on. Someone later climbed to the roof of the station in Northwest Baltimore to reveal it.
