Fun factors: Meet-and-greets with Mary Pickersgill, maker of the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the words to our National Anthem, and displays of early 19th century objects, including a scrap from the Star-Spangled Banner flag and a drum used by an American soldier during the attack on Fort McHenry.
Don¿t miss: The Discovery Gallery offers kids the chance to design their own flag, act as puppet masters in the theater and play with games and toys of the past.
