Here's a holiday gift guide for Marylanders who want to take "Made in the U.S.A." one step farther.
A local manufacturing advocacy group has put up its annual Maryland Made Directory, which lists companies with giftable products made in state.
Many of the potential gifts are food, like the Annapolis Caramel Co.'s caramels or Doomer's "Q" barbeque sauce or the chocolates from Moore's Candies. You can also find candles, wall hangings, lotions, wine, jewelry, guitars and -- for the gardener on your list -- plant nutrients, among other items.
The list is part of the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland's effort to bring more attention to the industry.
If you make something in Maryland that isn't already on the list, submit it here.
