Control how your information is used in advertising

If someone's going to use your name and/or photo in an advertisement, you'd want to know about it, right?

Well, you might want to check your account settings on Linkedin, if you use that social networking service.

I was intrigued to find out from this blogger that Linkedin's default settings permit "Social Advertising" that allows the network to pair your image and name with advertisements that show up on the site for people in your network.

Not interested in this feature? You can go to your settings page, click on "account" and "manage social advertising". Click the box to turn it off.
