Catherine Rentz is an investigative reporter for the Baltimore Sun. She spent more than nine years as an independent producing and reporting long-form investigations for video and print outlets including PBS Frontline that have won numerous awards such as the Emmy Award for Best Business Documentary and the Society for Professional Journalists’ Sigma Delta Chi Award for Best Documentary. Born and raised in the wide open spaces of Texas, she’s been traversing the bountiful waters of the D.C.-Baltimore region since 2006. Rentz earned an M.A. in journalism at the University of Missouri and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
