Life In The Burmese Capital Yangon

A Burmese girl is covered with Thanakha paste worn by many as a skin conditioner and sunblock in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). The Burmese government spends only 0.3 percent of its gross domestic product on health, the lowest amount worldwide, according to the 2008 United Nations Development Program survey (UNDP). Many low income people living in the poverty-stricken rural areas can't even afford to eat a meal in a day.
