Daycare worker charged with murder in death of 8-month-old girl

Five years ago --- a blizzard Remember January 8, 1996? In a photo that appeared in The Morning Call's Blizzard of '96 special edition, Joanne York digs her car out on that day on Juniper Street in Quakertown. The storm dumped close to 30 inches of snow. It was blamed for 27 deaths and the depletion of municipal funds that paid for snow removal. So far this season, the Lehigh valley has only accumulated a total of 12.6 inches of snow.
