Volunteers from the center gave the donated handmade blue scarves to each student, teacher and faculty member at the school. Volunteer's knit the scarves to symbolize the community's hope to protect the children from the cold, child abuse and to give them the message that they live in a caring environment. Sewn into each of the nearly 400 blue scarves is a label explaining to parents the centers effort to stop child abuse and the Childline hotline number to report abuse or suspected abuse.
