( February 6, 2013 ) Hoellein also joined the Wolves at semester and will begin his first season with the team next fall. A 2011 graduate of Roncalli HS, Hoellein was a three-time All-NEC Conference selection for the Cavaliers and head coach Terry Dosch, helping his team to a combined 26-6 record from 2008 to 2010. He was named to the Aberdeen American News All-Area team as both a junior and senior. Hoellein also participated in baseball, basketball and track and field, and holds the RHS school record for career three-pointers made. He led his RHS team to a third place finish at the 2010 state tournament his junior season. On the diamond, Hoellein was a member of the 2008 State Legion Championship team and was an All-State selection in 2010. He played one season of baseball at Augustana. Hoellein is the son of NSU Hall of Famer Kendall Hoellein, who played football for NSU from 1984-88. Coach Dosch on Hoellein: "Brendon is a physical, athletic linebacker who excelled at Roncalli High School. We are excited to have him in Wolves football after being away from the sport for two years." |
