Located in northwest Baltimore, Pimlico offers Thoroughbred horse racing from spring to fall each year. Of course, the premier event of the racing year is Pimlico's Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of the lauded Triple Crown, which draws fans galore to its infield and grandstand for a day of racing action and merriment. But during the season, nothing beats a day at the track, betting a couple of bucks, watching the races live -- or seeing races from other tracks across the country via simulcast -- and sampling the legendary Pimlico Soup of the Day.
